Eleport, one of leading developers of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in Central and Eastern Europe, and Carrefour Polska have officially launched their first EV charging location in Warsaw, Poland. This milestone is the first step in a larger initiative to deploy over 70 charging stations at Carrefour stores across Poland, reflecting both companies’ commitment to advancing sustainable mobility and reducing carbon emissions.
This newly operational station represents a key achievement in the partnership between Eleport and Carrefour, announced earlier this year. The Warsaw installation lays the groundwork for a nationwide rollout, with additional stations planned for Krosno on ul. Krakowska in December 2024 and ul. Lewakowskiego in early 2025. The network will also expand to Piechowice in Lower Silesia and include new locations in Stalowa Wola, Sieradz, Nowa Sól, and Jasło by the end of Q1 2025. All stations will operate on 100% renewable energy, aligning with Carrefour’s 2026 sustainability strategy, which emphasizes CO2 reduction and eco-friendly transportation solutions.
The Warsaw station exemplifies Eleport’s dedication to providing EV drivers with cutting-edge charging technology that is fast, reliable, and safe. Located at a Carrefour retail site, it highlights the seamless integration of sustainable transport solutions with everyday shopping convenience.
“The completion of this first station is a testament to the power of collaboration between Eleport and Carrefour. Together, we are not only expanding Poland’s EV infrastructure but also contributing to a more sustainable future. By leveraging our shared expertise and commitment to green innovation, we are creating tangible solutions for the challenges of climate change. This station is just the beginning of what we aim to achieve together,” said Paweł Doleciński, Sales Director at Eleport.
“We are very happy that together with Eleport we can contribute to the expansion of the electric car charging network in Poland, while encouraging our customers to use ecological methods of transport. We are convinced that the new infrastructure will not only increase the value of our properties, but will also contribute to increasing their footfall and attractiveness to customers,” says Ewa Karska, Director of Carrefour Polska Shopping Galleries.
With an ever-expanding network of EV charging points, Eleport and Carrefour are making sustainable transport more accessible, practical, and environmentally friendly. This partnership is a significant step toward improving air quality, reducing emissions, and promoting pro-ecological practices throughout Poland. It sets a benchmark for sustainable business collaboration in the region, demonstrating the potential of private-sector partnerships to address global environmental challenges.
