Eleport analyzed 2026 EV fast charging prices across thousands of charging networks in 29 European countries to see how much EV drivers actually pay in each country. Because until now, reliably comparing these prices has been nearly impossible.

What did Eleport find? Well, we found that public EV charging cost in Europe can cost more than double for every kWh charged on average, purely depending on which country you are in.

This is why we created a leaderboard for each of the countries to find cheapest EV charging, and now we can take a closer look at what we found for EV public charging cost in Poland.

When it comes to EV sales in Poland, it has actually shown the largest growth in all of Europe in 2025: growing +161,5% year-over-year with 43 311 EVs sold. The EV market share rose from 3,0% to 7,2%. Currently, this puts Poland in the 22nd spot among countries in Europe, but if this growth continues, the country will rank higher very fast.

How much does fast charging cost in Poland? It turns out from our analysis that Poland is in 19th place in all of Europe, as the fast charging price in Poland is 2.48 PLN/kWh (0.58 €/kWh) on average (median).

This puts the country at a higher average fast charging price than the average for all of Europe, which is at 2.31 PLN/kWh (0.54€/kWh). For the whole price range, the average prices for European countries ranged from 1.62 PLN/kWh (0.38€/kWh, in Finland) to 3.51 PLN/kWh (0.82€/kWh, in the UK).

Looking more closely, this is the leaderboard for fast charging price comparison in Poland that we created out of the data we have gathered:

Fast Charging Price Ranking Poland

Poland’s DC market has matured remarkably fast over the past few years, too: there are 23 CPOs that we decided to list in a market that barely had a strong fast charging presence five years ago. Local operators dominate rather than pan-European networks, but with a few caveats, like the growing Eleport footprint in the county.

Who offers the cheapest public price in Poland? Per our research, EkoEN plays the dynamic pricing game slightly better than Tesla, with 1.49 PLN (0.35€/kWh) for off-peak rates against Tesla supercharging price starting at 1.50 PLN – the latter, however, is possible to drop to 1.00 with the supercharging membership pricing. These two end up as the cheapest public EV charging cost in Poland.

Eleport’s 2.39 PLN/kWh (€0.56/kWh) beats the median of 0.58€, while the highest prices we found on the market went all the way to the surprisingly expensive 3.39 PLN (0.80€/kWh) on the other end.

So, how much does fast charging cost in Poland? It depends on which charging operator you visit, but if you can avoid the highest-priced, the median comes down to 2.48 PLN/kWh (0.58 €/kWh), and the lowest public EV charging cost you can find starts at 1.49 PLN (0.35€/kWh).

2026 EV charging prices vary significantly across Europe

A total of 2 585 187 battery electric vehicles were sold in Europe in 2025, growing by a strong 29,7% in the full year of 2025. Nearly every 5th car sold in Europe is fully electric today, but just as the EV adoption varies between the countries, the fast charging prices do as well. This is often dependent on the local competitive landscape, grid situation, and overall energy systems as well.

Eleport found that there are no great fast charging price comparison tools in most countries for the 2,6 million new EV drivers that hit the road in 2025, and perhaps even nearly 3 million new EV drivers that go for EVs in 2026.  So we built one

Average fast charging prices in Europe per kWh Eleport

Overall, we found that the EV fast charging prices in Europe do not directly indicate how well the country is doing in EV adoption.

The lowest fast charging prices we saw across Europe were at around 0.68 PLN/kWh (0.16€/kWh), and the absolute highest were nearing 4.27 PLN (1€/kWh).

Which charging network offers cheapest public EV charging cost in Europe in 2026? If we had to choose just one, the answer is easy: Tesla.

Tesla charging cost came in as the absolute lowest available-to-all price in 18 out of 29 countries, but with a specific caveat – the supercharger price for their off-peak times is what gave them the win. In Poland, it took the second place. The Tesla charging cost varies significantly per time of day in most countries, and the supercharging cost can often even vary depending on the location itself.

But when taking the median fast charging price of each individual country, and then taking the median of all these 29 European countries, it all comes down to 0.54€/kWh (2.31 PLN/kWh) as the average fast charging price for all of Europe.

Methodology:

Showing only DC EV charging prices, this is our unique overview based on publicly available data and subject to changes.

This research is commissioned by Eleport, put together with the EVwire.com team, with the help of the charging price platform Chargeprice.net. Some country-specific comparison tools used are noted in the relevant country sections.

Notes on the prices shown per CPO:

All ≥50kWh DC power tiers are banded into price ranges in the same cells. Any dynamic pricing is also shown in that price range. The tables are sorted for the best non-commitment price (ad-hoc and free app prices).

The two additional sources that helped us sort out Poland’s pricing are EV Klub and elektromobilni.pl
